Home Maintenance Checklist Series
Maintaining a home takes time, weather you live in a mansion or a tiny apartment.
Keep up with these tasks with our Monthly Maintenance Checklist.
Make sure you take care of your heating system and limit dust and potential allergens by changing the filter regularly.
If you’re not responsible for that task; vacuum and/or wipe your heaters.
Holiday time is often synonymous with flu season. Fight back by disinfecting handles, door knobs, light switches, remotes, phones, keyboards and mouse or any other items in high traffic areas or that you touch everyday.
Take this time to also get rid of any expired products or medicine. All drugs have an expiry date and self-care products usually have a symbol letting you know how long you can keep it after it’s opened.
Everybody has their own rules about how long to keep seasonal decorations. But when you do put them away, go through your stash first and declutter what you’re not going to use anymore. Donate usable items and trash the rest.
Did you get new “ toys “ replacing older versions? Pass on toys and games your kids don’t play with anymore and donate or recycle old electronics.
4. Cleaning Tools
Want your vacuum to suck all the dust and crumbs in one pass? Make sure you empty it regularly, change or clean the filter according to the user manual indications.
