Do you do spring cleaning? Do you hate it as much as I do? What motivates you to do it anyway?
Short post today. Life has been busy.
After delaying the decision for years (I’m not kidding), I finally bought a car of my own for the first time at 43 (yay).
I’ve enrolled in an online business course that is super interesting, but is taking a lot of my time. I don’t mind at all though, my mind is expending and I’m grateful for the lessons I’m learning.
We’ve started thinking about vacation time for August, once the event I manage is done; you know for my day job.
And I managed to cross off a few tasks from my spring cleaning list.
I washed the fridge and switched our clothes. Come on summer, we’re ready now!
The fridge really needed it and it took me longer than I expected. Truth be told, I REALLY hate cleaning, but I love the results of a good overhaul. I brought everything out, took containers apart and cleaned the heck out of it, reorganized – my favourite part, and stepped back to take a moment to just enjoy the result. Ahhh!
When I switch clothes from one season to the other, I take the time to get rid of the items that are tattered, no longer fit or we just don’t wear. It always amazes me that even if we do this every spring and fall, we still manage to get a couple of bags out the door to the donation centre. Always makes me feel lighter.
Now, when I find the time, the cupboards in the kitchen and washing the curtains and windows are next.
